With the Cointiply Mining Game, you earn Coins by buying, upgrading, and maintaining a Mine on the SciFi planet of Cointiplanium. Every building and every upgraded level add Mining Power to your Mine.

  • Your mine will start earning Coins once you reach at least 34 Mining Power (MP).
  • You will earn 1 Coin per hour per 34 Mining Power.
  • All Coins earned by your Mine are automatically added to your Cointiply balance every hour, whether or not you are logged in.
  • All Mining Game Activity has been moved to the new Your Activity tab on the Mining Game page, including new filters for seeing what your Mine is doing.

Buy Buildings

You can buy any building you want. Every building and every upgraded level cost 100 Coins per 1 Mining Power. Buying smaller buildings lets you upgrade faster. Buying larger buildings means more expensive upgrades, but with a higher maximum Mining Power. No one strategy is perfect for everyone, so play as you wish.

Note: Special Buildings like the Maintenance Hangar offer less Mining Power per Coin spent, but come with other benefits. We'll explain more below.

To buy a building, click the Your Mine tab on the Cointiply Mining Game page, and then click the Purchase Buildings tab. It will default to the Carrier Depot, the least expensive building.

Click the Purchase Buildings tab to view all available buildings

Use the arrows to click through to the other buildings. In the screenshot below, we're admiring the Pile Drivers building.

When you find one you like, click the Buy Item button. The Coins will be deducted from your account and the building will automatically be placed in the 3 x 3 grid for your Mine.

Upgrade Buildings

To upgrade a building, click anywhere on the building or on one of the building labels. You will get a menu to Upgrade, Sell, or Manage your building. Click Upgrade in that menu, and you will get a Confirmation dialog asking you to confirm your upgrade. Each level must be upgraded one at a time. Upgrades are irreversible.

You can find the maximum level for each building type in this article: Cointiply Mining Game Frequently Asked Questions

Sell Buildings

You can sell a building any time you want, but used gear on Cointiplanium doesn't have much resell value. Every building begins depreciating in value instantly, so make your choices carefully.

To sell a building, click anywhere on that building. You will get a menu to Upgrade, Sell, or Manage your building. Click Sell in that menu, and you will get a Confirmation dialog asking if you to confirm your sale. Selling your building is irreversible.

Level Expiry

You can see details for each level in each building. To get the Level details for your building, click anywhere on that building. You will get a menu to Upgrade, Sell, or Manage your building. Click Manage in that menu and the building's panel will flip to the main information panel, including Current Level, Purchased, Active Power, Expired Power, and a list of each of that building's levels.

Building Management and Item Levels

You can scroll through all levels in your building, with information on when that level expires. Click on a Level, and you get more details, including the option to Rebuild that level with Gems if it has expired. Rebuilding resets the level's start date, and each level works at full power until it expires.

Rebuild This Level

You can also do early rebuilds on all levels on a prorated basis. This allows you to top off your building whenever you want. Other options include REBUILD ALL LEVELS, which allows you to rebuild an entire building in one click. If you don't have enough Gems to rebuild the entire building, you can REBUILD MAX, which will rebuild every level you can with your available Gems. Be careful with this option if you are using Auto Spend to maintain your Mine's Efficiency.

Mining Power on an expired level will not earn hourly Coins. It will still contribute to your share of the Mining Pool forever as long as you maintain efficiency.

Building Efficiency

Every Mine starts out at 100% Efficiency. You can boost that Efficiency up to 200% any time you want starting at a cost of 100 Gems per 1% Efficiency gain. Efficiency costs rise the bigger your Mine gets.

Every hour, however, your Mine's Efficiency decreases 2%. You can auto-spend Gems to maintain your Efficiency at 200% as long as you have enough Gems each hour to cover the cost. All Efficiency gains and decreases cover every building in your Mine, regardless of how many buildings you have.

Gems are new currency for the Cointiply Mining Game. You can earn gems every hour by using the Gem faucet in the game. When the Gems faucet is ready, click the button, then "Check In" on the building with the "Check In" button. A random number of Gems between 200-700 will then be automatically added to your Gems balance. You can see how many you won in the bright blue notification that will appear at the top of the page.

Do that enough times during the day and you will earn more than enough to take care of your Efficiency.

You can also earn Gems site-wide, including the main Cointiply faucet, our offerwalls, and videos. To toggle the ability to earn Gems site-wide, click the Your Mine tab in the Cointiply Mining Game. Then click Gems, and toggle the Earn Gems Site-Wide (Gem Mode) button. If it's pink, it's on. To earn Coins on Cointiply again, toggle that switch off.

NOTE: While in Gem Mode, you'll earn Gems everywhere except the Mining Game itself. All Mines pay out in Coins only.

Gems

As mentioned above, Gems are new. Players can buy and sell Gems in the Marketplace at whatever price they want. This is an open market, so the rules of supply and demand are in play. All gem transactions are final.

To sell your Gems, click on the Gems tab. Enter the number of Gems you wish to sell and the price you wish to sell them for. You can only sell as many Gems as you have. The Gems per Coin (GpC) Conversion Rate History shows recent Gem prices. You can set price using the "Recommended Price," but be sure to do your homework and make your own decisions. Unsold listings will expire in 36 hours and those Gems returned to your inventory.

You can buy Gems in the Marketplace tab. Gems that players have posted for sale will be presented in a list, and players can buy them on a first-come, first served basis.

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard shows every Miner's rank, current Efficiency, current Coins per Hour, and Total Coins Mined. Mine ranks are updated every 10 minutes.

Mining Pool

Cointiply has created two Mining Pools made up from a percentage of all site Activity. The Top 100 players have their own pool—the Primary Mining Pool—in a brutal struggle to claw their way to the top of the slag heap. All other players share the Secondary Mining Pool, offering a chance for many more players to earn a Mining Pool bonus than before while the top dogs fight it out in the other pool.

Your Activity

All Mining Game Activity has been moved to the Your Activity tab on the Mining Game page, and we've added a bunch of new filters to make it easier to see what your Mine is doing.

Check the Your Activity tab to see a complete transaction of every Cointiply Mining Game Activity you've had. It shows all your updates, any buildings you've sold, Gems you've earned from the Gems faucet, and Gems spent on Efficiency or rebuilding a level.

Maintenance Hangar and Special Buildings

The Cointiply Mining Game has one Special building, the Maintenance Hangar. More Special buildings will be added in future updates. The Maintenance Hangar adds a small boost to Mining Power, but it's main purpose is to decrease your Efficiency costs.

Starting at level 1, the Maintenance Hangar will cover 5 percentage points of Efficiency for you every day, saving your Gems. This boost will be spent when available before Gems are spent.

The caveat is your Maintenance Hangar must be Active to work. Every level of the Maintenance Hangar costs 3,000 Coins. At level 1, it will be Active if your Mine is from 0-1,999 Mining Power. Every additional level covers another 1,000 Mining Power. If your Mine is 11,765 Mining Power, your Maintenance Hangar must be upgraded to level 11 to be Active. If you grow your Mine above the level covered by your Maintenance Hangar, it will fall Inactive until you upgrade it to the appropriate level. In the screenshot below, you'll see the Maintenance Hangar is level 50 and is Active, and that it covers up to 50,999 Mining Power.

At level 50, your Maintenance Hangar will cover 10 percentage points (five hours) worth of Efficiency. At level 150, your Maintenance Hangar will cover 15 percentage points of Efficiency, or 7 and half hours worth every day.

When you purchase the Maintenance Hangar, it gets added to the Special Buildings section of your Mining Game grid. You can only buy one Maintenance Hangar. Additional Special buildings will be added in future updates.

The maximum level of the Maintenance Hangar is 6,000.
