Important: Mined Coins and bonuses are paid out every hour but they are distributed to your account at various times throughout the hour. Please look at the Your Activity tab on the Cointiply Mining Game page to monitor your Mine's activity.

Q: What is the Cointiply Mining Game?

[Cointiply Mining Game Building Descriptions & Details]

Q: How many Coins will I earn?

A: You earn 1 Coin per hour per 34 Mining Power (roughly).

Q: What is Mining Power, and How Can I Increase it?

A: Mining Power determines how many Coins your Mine earns. Every building has Mining Power, and it increases as you upgrade that building. Mining Power is also affected by your Mine's Efficiency (see below).

[Cointiply Mining Game Quick Start Guide]

Bonus Mining Pools

Q: What are the Bonus Mining Pools?

A: We're glad you asked! Cointiply contributes Coins from activity all across the site to two different bonus pools for Miners. The Primary Mining Pool is for the 100 biggest Mines, where the top dogs battle it out to reach the top of the slag heap.

The Secondary Mining Pool is for all other players. Offerwalls, the faucet, buying buildings, and playing games all add to the Bonus Mining Pool. Your share is determined by how much Mining Power you have compared to the all the Mining Power in the game, starting with 0.01%. Build big!

Q: Why does the size of the Mining Pools change?

A: The Mining Pool is Cointiply's contribution to the game, and it's built from activity all across the site. The busier Cointiply is, the bigger the Mining Pools are.

Q: Why does my share of the Mining Pool change when my Mine didn't change?

A: Your Mine's share of the Mining Pool is determined by your Mining Power as a percentage of all players Mining Power. At the same time, the Mining Pool itself gets bigger along with total Mining Power.

Mining Payouts

Q: When do I get my Coins?

A: Your Mine earns Coins every hour, and the Bonus Mining Pool pays out every hour, too. You can view all Coins earned by your Mine in the Your Activity tab on the Cointiply Mining Game page.

Q: Do I have to do anything to collect my Coins?

A: No! Payouts are automatic if you have enough Mining Power to earn.

Gems

Q: What are Gems?

A: Gems are part of the Cointiply Mining Game. They are used to pay for Efficiency (see below), and to rebuild building levels once they expire (see below). They can also be sold to other players for Coins in the Gems Market Place.

Q: What do I do with Gems?

A: You can boost your Efficiency using Gems at any time you wish (see below). You can also use Gems to rebuild levels when they expire (see below).

Q: What is Gems Auto Spend?

A: When turned on, Auto Spend will use your Gems automatically to boost your Efficiency. Auto Spend works as long as you have enough Gems in your inventory to cover that hour's costs. If you have enough Gems, you can even go on vacation without worrying about your Mine's Efficiency (see below).

Q: How do I earn Gems?

A: You can earn gems in one of two ways. The first is to use the hourly Gems faucet on the Cointiply Mining Game page. This is separate from the main faucet on the Cointiply homepage.  The second way to earn Gems is to activate Gem Mode, which allows you to earn Gems instead of Coins for offers, videos, games, and the main faucet. You can also buy Gems, as explained below.

Q: What is the Gems faucet?

A: The Gems faucet is an hourly faucet that pays out 200-700 Gems per spin.

Q: How does the Gems faucet work?

A: To collect Gems from the Gems faucet, click on the Your Mine tab or the Gems tab. If the faucet is ready for you, you'll see a "CLAIM FREE GEMS" button. Simply click it. The number of Gems you won will appear at the very top of the page in a blue Notification bar. You can also see how many Gems you won in the Your Activity tab.

Q: What is Gem Mode?

Q: Is there a fee for buying or selling Gems?

A: A 2.5% buyer's fee is added for each successful sale.

Efficiency

Q: What is Cointiply Mining Game Efficiency?

A: Every Mine must be maintained, and that is especially true on Cointiplanium. Every hour you don't maintain your Mine, your Efficiency decreases by 2%. You can use Gems to boost your Efficiency higher. You can use Auto Spend to automatically boost your Efficiency every hour, as long as you have enough Gems in inventory.

Q: How does Efficiency affect my Mine?

A: Your Mining Power is multiplied by your Efficiency to get your active Mining power. A Mine with 1,000 Mining Power and 100% efficiency has 1,000 active Mining Power. At 200% Efficiency, that same Mine would have 2,000 active Mining Power. At 20% Efficiency, that same Mine would have 200 active Mining Power.

Q: Why is my Mine Efficiency declining?

A: You must maintain your Mine to keep it Efficient. Every hour, your Efficiency declines by 2%. You can use Gems to keep it boosted up to 200%.

Q: How do I boost my Efficiency?

A: Click the "BOOST YOUR EFFICIENCY" button in the Your Mine tab of the Cointiply Mining Game.

Q: How many Gems does it take to boost my Efficiency?

A: When first starting out, a 1% boost in Efficiency costs 100 Gems. Bigger Mines will see their Efficiency costs rise.

Q: Can I boost my Mine up to 200% right away?

A: If you have the Gems, yes!

Q: My Mine is at 0% Efficiency! What can I do?

A: If you have enough Gems, boost it immediately to 200%. If you don't, earn Gems with the Gems faucet, in Gem Mode, or by buying them in the Marketplace (see above).

Building Level Expiry

Q: What is the Level Expiry?

A: Buildings and equipment last only so long on Cointiplanium. Each level must be rebuilt when it's been used long enough. But it won't expire until you've earned a profit on that level! This makes the game sustainable for years to come.

Q: How do I rebuild a level?

A: When it expires. You can see a lifespan bar in your Building Management panel.

Q: How many Gems does it take to rebuild a level?

A: It will cost 900 Gems per Mining Power to rebuild a level over the total lifetime of that level.

Q: Can I rebuild a level early?

A: In the initial rollout of this update, no. But, we we are working on more advanced level management controls that will allow players to rebuild (or top off) a level whenever they want. We will deploy these features in the coming weeks, before the first wave of levels expire.

Q: Can I rebuild all of my levels at one time?

A: We will be adding an option in the near future to easily rebuild all expired levels for a building or for your entire Mine. Currently you can only rebuild one level at a time.

Q: My level expired! What went wrong?

A: Nothing! In fact, this is good news! It means you've earned a solid profit from that level. Now you can rebuild it if you want to keep earning!

Q: Is the Mining Power from an expired level gone?

A: Yes and no. It won't contribute to your total Mining Power until you rebuild the level. It will contribute to your share of your Mining Pool for life.

Maintenance Hangar

Q: What is the Maintenance Hangar?

A: The Maintenance Hangar is a Special building for the Cointiply Mining Game. It helps defray the costs of maintaining your Mine and boosting your Efficiency. Your Maintenance Hangar never expires.

Q: How does the Maintenance Hangar work?

A: An active Maintenance Hangar covers 5 percentage points of your daily Efficiency decline (2.5 hours worth). It kicks in before Auto Spend Gems, but will not kick in if you manually boost your Efficiency that hour.

At level 50, your Maintenance Hangar covers 10 percentage points of Efficiency decline (5 hours worth). At level 150, your Maintenance Hangar covers 15 percentage points of Efficiency (7.5 hours worth).

Q: My Maintenance Hangar is Inactive! Why?

A: Each level of your Maintenance Hangar covers 1,000 Mining Power. If you grow your Mine larger than your Maintenance Hangar, it will become Inactive. To Activate it again, upgrade it until it covers your total Mining Power.

Miscellaneous

Q: Do I have to get every building?

A: You can buy whichever buildings you want. Each has a different Mining Power, and is priced accordingly.

Q: Can I upgrade the buildings I already have?

A: Yes, you can upgrade any building as many times as you wish, adding to your Mining Power with every level.

Q: Can I sell buildings when I'm ready to get new ones?

A: Yes, you can! It's an important part of your mining strategy, but the value of your building depreciates every day. Wear and tear wreak havoc on them the longer you earn Coins with your buildings.

Q: I bought 1 or more buildings but have not been getting any Coins.

A: You will not get any Coins unless you have enough Mining Power to own a chunk of a mining pool or to produce Coins each hour, you will need to buy more buildings. You earn 1 Coin per hour per 34 Mining Power.

Q: I accidentally sold a building! Can you reverse it/reimburse me/otherwise change it?

A: No. All building sales are final, and that's why we include a confirmation window you have to click on first. There is no way for us to reverse a sale, and we can not give refunds for any losses from selling a building. Upgrade, Sell, and Manage your buildings carefully!
